Install VirtualBox 6 di Ubuntu 18.04 LTS

VirtualBox kali ini sudah mencapai versi 6 pada bulan desember 2018 ini, dimana banyak peningkatan seperti :

Jika kita sudah install versi sebelum nya, yaitu 5.2, maka kita harus unistall dulu versi 5 nya karena tidak bisa di replace atau di update begitu saja :

$ sudo dpkg -i virtualbox-6.0_6.0.0-127566_Ubuntu_bionic_amd64.deb

Setelah selesai install, lalu kita buka aplikasi VirtualBox 6 nya dan kita akan di minta untuk install VirtualBox Extension Pack nya dulu

Setelah itu virtualbox siap digunakan, dan data vm virtualbox lama juga tetap ada dan tidak hilang

Cara Allow Flash Player Secara Permanen di Google Chrome

Ketika membuka vsphere melalui web browser chrome pasti akan terkendala dengan plugin flash player nya, dimana setiap akses harus allow dulu di chrome untuk flash player nya

Berikut cara agar bisa permanen untuk melakukan allow flash player di web browser chrome :

1. Buka web web browser chrome nya, ketikan di address bar : 

chrome://flags/

2. Cari settingan "Enable Ephemeral Flash Permissions" ubah menjadi disable :

Cara Install vmware tool di Linux Centos 7

Kali ini saya ingin sedikit share, bagaimana cara nya install vmware tool di Linux Centos 7, Tujuan nya adalah agar Linux Centos 7 yang berjalan diatas platform WMware bisa berjalan dengan baik dan menggunakan driver yang optimal dan dapat dimanage juga dengan baik dari vsphere nya.

Cara Install ifconfig di Linux Centos 7

Di linux centos 7, secara default setelah melakukan instalasi dengan mode minimal kita tidak akan menemukan perintah "ifconfig", yang ada adalah "nmcli d" atau "ip addr".

Bagi sebagian orang yang sudah terbiasa di centos 6 dan juga menggunakan perintah "ifconfig", tentunya akan kehilangan, Untuk itu kita masih bisa menggunakan perintah "ifconfig" dengan melakukan instalasi paket tambahan.

Cara nya adalah :

1. Install paket net-tools

# yum install net-tools

Cara Install Tor Web Browser di Linux Ubuntu 18.04

Tor Web Browser banyak digunakan untuk melakukan privacy protection, dimana IP Address kita pada saat melakukan browsing tidak akan kelihatan secara langsung,namun akan di proxy ke IP lain terlebih dahulu. Tor Web Browser ini berbasis dari Firefox.

Berikut cara install Tor Web Browser di Linux Ubuntu 18.04 LTS 

1. Buka terminal, jalankan perintah berikut :

$ sudo apt install torbrowser-launcher

2. Ikuti semua langkah-langkah instalasi nya via GUI, setelah selesai install nya, kita bisa panggil Tor Browser nya dari terminal dengan perintah :

$ torbrowser-launcher

Cara Setting IP Statik di Linux Debian 9 dari Terminal

Kalau kita melakukan instalasi linux debian 9 dari iso minimalis, maka semua setting akan sangat manual, seperti setting IP nya.

Berikut cara setting IP linux debian 9 secara manual dari terminal :

1. Edit file : /etc/network/interfaces

# pico /etc/network/interfaces

2. Tambahkan baris berikut dan sesuaikan dengan nama interface nya :

iface eth0 inet static
address 10.1.1.125
        netmask 255.0.0.0
        gateway 10.1.1.1
dns-nameservers 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4

3. Simpan file nya

4. Edit atau buat file : /etc/resolv.conf

# pico /etc/resolv.conf

5. Isi dengan baris berikut ini :

nameserver 8.8.8.8

6. Simpan file nya

7. Restart service network nya :

# service networking restart

Cara Install VMware Tool di Linux Debian 9

Tutorial singkat ini saya buat karena saya ada kebutuhan install linux server berbasiskan debian yang berjalan di atas virtualisasi VMware.

Setelah melakukan instalasi linux debian nya, kita perlu juga untuk install vmware tool agar semua driver di linux bisa sesuai dengan vmware nya dan dapat berjalan dengan baik, namun untuk melakukan instalasi ini harus bisa terkoneksi ke internet terlebih dahulu, jangan lupa setting IP nya dulu seperti di artikel disini

Berikut cara install nya :

1. Buka terminal, login sebagai root :

$ su -

2. Jalankan perintah instalasi nya :

# apt-get install open-vm-tools open-vm-tools-desktop

Jika ada permintaan persetujuan, ketik "yes"

3. Setelah selesai restart OS Linux Debian nya

4. Cek hasil install vmware tool nya dengan perintah :

# vmware-user-suid-wrapper

Install AddOn Lightning untuk thunderbird di Ubuntu 18.04 LTS

Kali ini saya menghadapi kendala, ketika thunderbird di ubuntu 18.04 ada update menjadi versi 60.2 dan setelah di update ternyata addon lightning nya belum support untuk versi thunderbird tersebut. Sebagai informasi, saya install addon lightning nya dari addon menu di thunderbird nya langsung.

Addon lightning ini fungsi nya adalah untuk management kalender di thunderbird

Solusi nya adalah, kita harus install addon lightninig nya dari repository ubuntu nya juga, Cara nya :

$ sudo apt install xul-ext-lightning

Install Kaspersky Antivirus di Ubuntu 18.04

Bagi pengguna linux, tidak ada salah nya untuk melakukan install antivirus sebagai tambahan perlindungan untuk laptop atau komputer kita, kali ini saya akan sedikit share cara untuk melakukan instalasi antivirus Kaspersky di Linux Ubuntu 18.04 LTS

Langkah-langkah nya adalah :

1. Download dulu file deb nya disini : https://www.kaspersky.com/small-to-medium-business-security/downloads/endpoint

Pilih yang terbaru versi nya

2. Lakukan instalasi dengan perintah :

$ sudo dpkg -i kesl_10.1.0-5960_amd64.deb

Mematikan DNS Proxy / Forwarding Internal di Ubuntu 18.04

Ubuntu memang secara default menggunakan DNS Proxy atau DNS masquerade atau DNS Forwarding, dimana layanan ini melakukan redirect DNS yang ada di ubuntu ke DNS localhost baru diteruskan ke DNS ISP yang digunakan.

Hal ini tentunya terkadang membuat bingung ketika melakukan troubleshoot dengan menggunakan nslookup atau dig, dimana hasil jawaban query nya di dapat hanya dari DNS local ubuntu saja.

Kalau saya, hal ini cukup mengganggu, untuk itu biasanya akan saya disable, Caranya adalah :

1. Disable service nya :

ubuntu@laptop:~$ sudo systemctl disable systemd-resolved.service

ubuntu@laptop:~$ sudo service systemd-resolved stop

2. Konfigure ulang network manager nya :

- Buka dan edit file ini : /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf

- Tambahkan baris berikut :

[main]

dns=default 

3. Hapus file resolv.conf :

ubuntu@laptop:~$ sudo rm /etc/resolv.conf

4. Restart service network manager nya :

ubuntu@laptop:~$ sudo service network-manager restart

5. Pastikan setting DNS nya sudah berubah ke DNS Public :

ubuntu@laptop:~$ cat /etc/resolv.conf

# Generated by NetworkManager

search example.com

nameserver 8.8.8.8

nameserver 8.8.4.4

5. Silahkan dicoba lagi dengan nslookup

Rumus Menghitung Konversi Ampere ke KWh untuk Datacenter

Saya ingin sedikit share rumus untuk menghitung KWh dari pengukuran ampere, biasanya Admin Server akan ditanya, berapakah pemakaian daya di Rack? nah pengukuran biasanya dilakukan hanya dengan ampere meter di MCB pada rack tersebut, Misal nya saja kita mendapat kan bahwa Rack tersebut pemakaiannya adalah 10 Ampere.

Untuk dapat mengukur KWh nya, kita harus konversi dulu ke Watt, cara nya adalah :

P(kW) = ((I(A) × V(V) / 1000) x 0,8

Jadi, ((10 x 220) / 1000) x 0,8 = 1,76 Watt

Kemudian untuk dapat menghitung KWh nya adalah :

E(kWh) = P(kW) × t(h) x 30

Jadi, 1,76 x 24 x 30 = 1267,2 KWh /Bulan nya

Nah.. tinggal kita harus tahu berapa harga per KWh nya, misalnya Rp. 1500/KWh, maka tinggal di kalikan saja 1500 x  1267,2 = 1.900.800 rupiah

Untuk setahun tinggal dikalikan 12 bulan = Rp. 1.900.800 x 12 = Rp. 22.809.600 

Dengan cara diatas, maka kita bisa tahu pemakain dan biaya listrik yang dibutuhkan untuk rack tersebut

Cara mendapatkan log CMC pada Enclosure Server Dell M1000e

Jika terjadi masalah pada Enclosure Server Dell M1000, tentunya kita akan laporkan kepada support dell nya, namun biasa nya laporan tersebut harus disertakan juga dengan log diagnostik nya.

Berikut saya akan sedikit sharing bagaimana cara mendapatkan CMC Log yang dibutuhkan untuk pelaporan ke support dell 

1. Buka CMC web dell nya, lalu ke menu Chassis Overview -> Troubleshooting ->  Diagnostics

Maka akan ada kolom untuk mengetikan perintah seperti gambar dibawah ini :

RACADM usage syntax:

racadm

Contoh:

racadm racdump

Available subcommand :

- racdump
- getsensorinfo
- getfanreqinfo
- dumplogs
- getversion 
- getsysinfo
- getioinfo
- getdcinfo
- getpbinfo

Ketikan semua subdommand diatas lalu di capture output nya untuk di jadikan CMC Log yang akan di laporkan ke support dell

Atau cara kedua adalah melalui ssh langsung ke enclosure dell nya :

1. Jika menggunakan putty, maka pastikan disetting dulu agar putty dapat menerima output yang banyak dari hasil dump log nya

2. Setelah itu baru ssh ke IP enclosure dell nya dan jalan kan perintah diatas :

- racdump
- getsensorinfo
- getfanreqinfo
- dumplogs
- getversion 
- getsysinfo
- getioinfo
- getdcinfo
- getpbinfo
- getsel
- getraclog

Lalu hasil output nya di copy ke notepad dan di simpan dalam bentuk file txt lalu dikirimkan ke support dell nya

Cara install locate dan updatedb nya di Linux Centos 7

Karena saya melakukan instalasi linux centos 7 dengan mode minimalis, maka semua software yang ada juga sangat minimal adanya.

Contoh ketika saya ingin mencari file dengan perintah locate, ternyata belum ada di centos 7, Cara install locate nya sebagai berikut :

1. Update yum nya dulu :

# yum -y update

2. Install locate nya :

# yum -y install mlocate

3. Update dulu database locate nya :

# updatedb

4. Locate bisa di update otomatis dari cron :

/etc/cron.daily/mlocate.cron

Cara Melakukan Pengecekan Status Koneksi Interface Network di Linux

Kali ini saya ingin sedikit share bagaimana cara nya kita mengetahui status koneksi interface jaringan di server linux yang ada, misal nya saya sudah setting IP namun saya ingin tahu status interface nya sudah tercolok belum kabel nya? atau kabel nya sudah terpasang, namun perangkat lawannya sudah UP atau belum? Intinya mengecek secara fisik status interface network nya.

Untuk mengecek settingan IP kita bisa menggunakan command ifconfig :

# ifconfig
# ifconfig eth0

Namun untuk mengecekan status interface eth0 nya sudah terhubung ke jaringan atau belum secara fisik, kita bisa menggunakan perintah ethtool :

$ ethtool

$ ethtool eth0

Memperbaiki error libperl5.22 di Ubuntu 16.04 yang menyebabkan tidak bisa update

Kali ini saya menemukan error di server linux ubuntu 16.04 saya, ketika akan melakukan update linux dari repository, muncul error berikut :

# apt upgrade

Tenyata masih tidak bisa dan malah muncul error yang baru seperti diatas, solusi nya dalah kita move dulu file yang bermasalah nya, yaitu :

Cara nya adalah jalankan perintah berikut ini :

# mv /usr/share/doc/libperl5.22/changelog.Debian.gz /usr/share/doc/libperl5.22/changelog.Debian.gz.bak

Kemudian coba lagi command apt-get -f install nya :

# apt-get -f install

System Operasi bisa di deteksi hanya melalui perintah ping

Ping adalah tools perangkat lunak di jaringan komputer, yang digunakan untuk mengecek apakah host/pc/laptop/server berhasil terkoneksi di jaringan Protokol Internet (IP).

Ping beroperasi dengan mengirimkan paket Permintaan echo melalui protocol Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) ke host target dan menunggu balasan ICMP Echo. Tentunya ini kalau ICMP nya tidak ter-block oleh firewall.

TTL (Time To Live) artinya adalah, berapa lama resolver atau target dapat memberikan jawaban dari ping tersebut. TTL (Time To Live) adalah nilai timer yang termasuk dalam paket yang dikirim melalui jaringan yang memberi tahu penerima berapa lama untuk memegang atau menggunakan paket sebelum membuang dan mengakhiri data (paket). Nilai TTL berbeda untuk Sistem Operasi yang berbeda. Jadi, Anda dapat menentukan OS berdasarkan nilai TTL.

PING domain.com (100.100.100.100) 56 (84) byte data.
64 byte dari 100.100.100.100: icmp_seq = 1 ttl = 57 waktu = 503 ms
64 byte dari 100.100.100.100: icmp_seq = 2 ttl = 57 waktu = 416 ms

Seperti yang Anda lihat dari output diatas, Anda mendapat nilai TTL. Nilai-nilai TTL ini berbeda antara sistem Operasi. Di sini Anda megetahui jenis operating system yang digunakan hanya melalui perintah ping dan melihat dari TTL nya.

Kerentanan pada flash player - Update Microsoft Windows 10 - Juli 2018

Hari ini tanggal 11 Juli 2018 saya mendapatkan update dari windows 10, ada 2 update yang saya bahas disini :
1. 2018-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4338819)
2. 2018-07 Security Update for Adobe Flash Player for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4338832)

Untuk update No. 1 yaitu Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4338819), ini isi nya adalah :

- Improves the ability of the Universal CRT Ctype family of functions to correctly handle EOF as valid input.
- Enables debugging of WebView content in UWP apps using the Microsoft Edge DevTools Preview app that’s available in the Microsoft Store.
- Addresses an issue that may cause the Mitigation Options Group Policy client-side extension to fail during GPO processing. The error message is “Windows failed to apply the MitigationOptions settings. MitigationOptions settings might have its own log file” or “ProcessGPOList: Extension MitigationOptions returned 0xea.” This issue occurs when Mitigation Options has been defined either manually or by Group Policy on a machine using Windows Defender Security Center or the PowerShell Set-ProcessMitigation cmdlet.

Sedangkan untuk update yang kedua adalah Security Update for Adobe Flash Player for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4338832) ya isi nya adalah perbaikan untuk menutup lubang keamanan pada flash player pada windows

Dalam skenario serangan berbasis web di mana pengguna menggunakan Internet Explorer untuk desktop, penyerang dapat meng-injek situs web yang berisi halaman web yang digunakan untuk mengeksploitasi salah satu kerentanan ini. Selain itu, situs web yang disusupi tadi dapat menerima atau menghijack konten atau iklan yang disediakan oleh pengguna dan dapat berisi konten yang dibuat khusus yang dapat memanfaatkan salah satu kerentanan ini.

Namun, dalam semua kasus, penyerang tidak akan memiliki cara untuk memaksa pengguna mengunjungi situs web ini. Sebagai gantinya, penyerang harus meyakinkan pengguna untuk mengunjungi situs web, biasanya dengan meminta mereka mengeklik tautan dalam pesan email atau pesan instan yang mengarahkan pengguna ke situs web penyerang.

Seorang penyerang kemudian dapat menyusupkan konten Flash yang dibuat khusus yang dirancang untuk mengeksploitasi salah satu kerentanan ini melalui Internet Explorer dan kemudian meyakinkan pengguna untuk melihat situs web. Zona situs Dibatasi, yang menonaktifkan skrip dan kontrol ActiveX, membantu mengurangi risiko penyerang dapat menggunakan salah satu kerentanan ini untuk mengeksekusi kode berbahaya. Jika pengguna mengklik tautan dalam pesan email, pengguna masih bisa rentan terhadap eksploitasi kerentanan ini melalui skenario serangan berbasis web.

Saran saya adalah Anda memastikan untuk selalu melakukan update windows nya, setelah itu jangan lupa di restart dulu.

Windows Modules Installer Worker Menyebabkan High CPU Pada Windows 10

Jika anda menggunakan Windows 10 dan tiba tiba kipas laptop anda berputar yang mana menandakan bahwa laptop anda sedang bekerja keras, ya saya mengalami nya :)

Setelah saya di task manager, ternyata ada proses yang membuat CPU laptop saya bekerja sampai 90%, nama service nya adalah Windows Modules Installer Worker.

Windows Modules Installer Worker ini sebenar nya adalah service milik windows untuk melakukan pengecekan apakah ada update untuk windows kita dan juga mengecek update driver hardware nya. Namun kalau ini sedang berjalan, akan memakan resource CPU yang lumayan.

Untuk mengatasi nya ada 2 cara :
1. Setting windows update nya secara manual
2. Memastikan driver hardware nya selalu update

Namun kalau saya, ya saya tunggu saja sampai selesai proses Windows Modules Installer Worker ini, karena service ini jalan hanya sekitar 5 menit saja.
